Sunraysia Community Radio Association (SCRA) Incorporated began broadcasting as HOT FM in the late 80"s and is well established community broadcaster in Sunraysia, with a loyal listening audience and a loyal sponsor base. During 2017 HOTFM made a huge transition from Country Music to Adult Contemporary/ Easy Listening format targeting the 40+ audience. Hot FM has nine different cultural groups presenting programs. Some of the groups have subgroups also presenting programs. The cultural programs fill a need in the local community reaching differing language groups with music and information in first language. Hot FM provides live football coverage of one match each week during the Sunraysia Football League season. The broadcasts are one of the major strengths of Hot FM’s programming and they attract a large listening audience. Local sport in general is one of Hot FM main strengths covering sports from Australian Rules Football, basketball to Lawn Bowls. HOT FM has a strong band of 35 presenters/ volunteers who broadcast with the station on a weekly basis. HOT FM broadcast live 24 hours a day of local content and enjoys a long history of community support. Hot FM provides a low cost alternative broadcasting to Sunraysia on 106.7. HOTFM can also be heard on 90.7 for the towns of Robinvale, Wentworth and Ouyen, providing a high quality community broadcasting service. |
